* This was the first time the Busch brothers (Kurt and Kyle) have qualified 1-2 for a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event.
* The last time brothers qualified 1-2 was at Martinsville (March, 2000). Rusty Wallace won the wpole and Kenny Wallace started second.
* For the second week in a row, the pole winner (Kyle Busch) will have to go to the rear of the field. Busch blew an engine after five laps in practice.
* Kasey Kahne qualified seventh, a season-best starting position.
* David Stremme and Sam Hornish Jr. turned in strong qualifying efforts; Stremme is 11th and Hornish Jr. 12th.

Didn’t Kyle blow his motor so he now starts in the back? Kurt should be on the pole now.

Kyle still gets credit for the pole, but do to his engine change will have to move to the back of field during the pace laps.
The inside line will move forward one spot. Kurt will still start on the outside of the front row.

What does it matter…winning the race is what counts and I doubt Dodge has any money to do that this year. NASCAR is all about Ford and Chevy now so why even waste the money. Pull out of NASCAR and take the money to design retro cool looking cars like the Challenger.

Another disappointing weekend for Dodge. 4 Chevys, 3 Toyotas, 3 Fords, and then a Dodge finally passes the finish line. There is nothing worse then seeing the Japanese take control of the Good Old Boy sport. My stomach turns everytime I have to witness this. Toyota has been in the sport for only a couple of years and they dominate. Are we cheating again like last year? Are Brian France and his associates being bribed by the highest bidder? I think Dodge is doing better in NHRA drag racing so maybe you better publish that information instead.
