Last day to order a 2009 Challenger is 24 Apr. I thought I ordered one on 26 Feb, BUT it seems I have to wait in line to see if my dealer can get an allocation. And last production date is about 15 May. Not much time left…my confidence for getting a new car is LOW!

Ken Lewenza, CAW’s president, has rejected Chrysler’s demand for an all-in labour cost cut of $19 an hour. His senior leadership team is now clearly readying 8,000 CAW members at Chrysler for a bankruptcy protection situation.

It looks like it is over so buy a Challenger now and have it customized to your liking.

I ordered my SEG in early march. Blue with black double hockey stick stripes. I was wondering when I would see it. Now here it is, driving around the foothills in this Blog. Dodge please send it me soon. I want to drive it to a wedding May 23rd. Thanks

Chrysler will resume production at its Windsor and Brampton, Ontario, assembly plants this morning, after a judge ordered a Canadian supplier to give Chrysler access to the parts and tooling it needs to build a part.

Transcast Precision Inc. moved parts — aluminum brackets used to secure engines and transmissions — and tooling from a Wallaceburg, Ontario, facility, forcing production to stop last week at Chrysler’s two Ontario assembly plants.

Canadian police were investigating whether criminal charges should be filed against Transcast but the company on Friday said it would release the tooling and two weeks of parts, which should allow the shutdown Chrysler plants to reopen.

Payment for the parts will be made to the courts while the dispute over price is sorted out. Transcast has sought a price 2.5 times higher than the previous owner of the supplier sought.

Chrysler stopped production of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Challenger in Brampton, Ontario, because Trans Cast Precision failed to deliver an aluminum mounting bracket used to secure engines and transmissions.

Thats great that Dodge has finally released the 5 speed for the se! Now my question is will they allow 4 speed se owners the option to retrofit the 5 speed to theres? Would be great to find out something about that!
