Kasey Kahne finished 6th and Kurt Busch 11th, after Tony Stewart’s gutsy two-tire final pit shaved enough time to hold off Jeff Gordon and secure the win. (See the last laps here.)


Stewart’s victory (his fourth this season) bumped Kurt down one spot in the standings to number 5, just 91 points off the lead with seven races to go; the series continues with the Pepsi 500 this Sunday, October 11, and finishes November 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
