Today’s a big day for everyone here at Dodge. Chrysler is unveiling their plan to take the company in a new direction over the next few years. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler Group Chairman C. Robert Kidder and President and CEO of Dodge Ralph Gilles are just a few of the speakers to discuss the future of the company today. It’s good to hear you are taking the company in a new direction, it’s too bad you lost some loyal customers such as myself along the way. I own the 2006 Dodge Charger and only have 24,000 miles. In August of 2009 the car literally started to fall apart, my air conditioner vents fell off, my control panel for my driver side locks fell down in the door panel, I had a diagnostic test completed in which revealed I needed a new FCM, and WCM, now on November 2, 2009 my car has become stuck in park. I have taken my car to another dealership and now they tell me it’s not my FCM it is the radiator fans are both out. Remind you only have 24,000 miles and guess what it is no longer under warranty. It is sad the only option your company could give me is to purchase and extended warranty for $1,400.00 in which you will only cover 50% due to the problems occurring out of warranty. Real nice way to take care of your customer! The icing on the cake my husband who has purchased 4 of your trucks in the past 8 years now has the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4X4, and has had his air conditioner stop working 5 times in two years. They have changed 2 compressors, the vent door was replaced and which now has to be replaced again, the dryer has been replaced, and of course we need another new compressor. Oh by the way his warranty has just expired also. I will never purchase another Dodge or Chrysler product ever again and I will be sure to pass this along to every single person who considers to purchase your product.

Dear Serg, Hi my name is Mr Clark and I am bloging you to see if there will a different response then what I have not gotten from Mr Gilles or Betty Reed. If you read Mr Gilles past blogs you will see my problem. It seems no one wants to respond. So please read the THREE blogs that I have left for Mr Gilles with no response. Soon I will make a great effort to tell everyone in the ciber world of the lemons your company is producing. Im sure not all of them are but for the one’s that are i will find everyone that has an issue and we will blog, twitter, facebook and my space all the bad things, and we know how powerful the Internet has become. In business, all good things are over looked when there is enough negative. Hope to hear from someone at sometime, because i have all day now, now that I can not even go to work to make money. We had trouble with our minivan once and the Chrysler/Dodge dealership fixed it for free without having to pay the $50 deductible. You just need to find the right dealership. Most of the dealerships are a lot nicer and want your business.

Sublime green is by far the highest impact color ever made. You can see it for a miles and people take a second look and then they see the word Dodge on the car. It is great from a marketing perspective so lets see some Sublime Challengers already. Thank you for understanding our frustration with your current administration.

For 2010 Model Year in addition to the 10 standard paints at the plant and any special paints for Charger Police Cars, we have built B5 Blue, Detonator Yellow, Plum Crazy is just beginning, Hemi Orange is coming back in 1st Quarter 2010, and one more new color to be announced soon. This color is not Sublime. Green is in our future, we are hoping to do something in the 2010 Calendar Year.

We have computer automated equipment in which the entire factory is connected and can be reprogrammed, yet we can only handle 10 colors at a time in cars that all have the same ugly dark gray interiors. We ran the factories in the 60s and 70s where we had to match interior colors with exterior colors. What is the deal, we become automated and we can do less. This is embarrassing. It is time to upgrade to a new system or a new factory. I don’t mean to be ugly about this, but we can paint police cars all different colors, yet we can’t add one more color (sublime) to the offering for the loyal (fading fast) mopar customers. I guess I will have to purchase a stripped Challenger for $20 grand instead of one that is already complete for $40 grand and have a paint shop and upholstery shop do the work. That is not the way to earn a profit.

Dear Mark Mallie, Ralph Gilles, and RLD,
Thank you for finally confirming that Sublime green is not an option for 2010 on the challenger. While you didn’t completely rule it out per your post, I believe I can read between the lines. As you stated, first quarter 2010, no green challengers.
Its truly unfortunate, as I wanted to buy a Dodge Challenger, and as CMC stated, this is not a way to earn new customers or profits. My patience has run out, as waiting another year with nothing but promises, is not my way to enjoy life.
I’m truly sympathetic to the situation the auto industry has dealt with in the past few years, but I also have to be realistic. Its a cold world, and immediate satisfaction sells product.
As I stated in earlier posts, customers who fork out 40 to 50 thousand dollars for a car, are doing it out of choice, not need. There are many cars in this price range, so buyers can afford to whine about colors and options. This includes me. I don’t need this car, I just wanted one.
I don’t plan to contact anyone at Dodge, via the email links. I’m over getting the canned emails, telling me to check with my local dealer. You have my email address. How about contacting me? I’d love to discuss what I do for a living, and talk about how we quickly respond to changing times, complex customer requests, and more.
Sorry for the negative vibe in my post, but that’s the reality of the situation. Good luck with the challenger, I’ll start looking at other options for a car purchase.
My current ride is a GS300 SE, just for the record.

We have guys (indyrider, CMC, etc.) who own Japenese cars and want to buy American again and we are turning them away. Is there any way you can offer the sublime ealier in 2010. I know you guys have had issues, however, I think if you respond to people faster then you can probably attract more customers. You have probably heard enough of this, so I won’t keep bugging you. At any rate, do your best and we appreciate you reviving the old “high impact” colors. Thanks again and we can’t wait to see the new Charger. My wife needs a new car as well. Your Viper project is pretty exciting. Take care.
