11:55 am: A Perfect Day To Test Some Limits

You couldn’t have scripted better weather for today’s first track test of the 2010 Viper ACR. Sunny, not a cloud in the sky, crisp, but with the forecast calling for temps in the mid-60s. “Perfect track weather for racing,” says Ralph Gilles, President & CEO for Dodge — with a tone that immediately gives away the fact that he really wants to be out on the track himself. “Warm air and a cold track — exactly what we want.”

Driver Chris Winkler also looks like he’s enjoying the conditions. A couple of practice runs are in the bag, and Ralph is taking another look at the car before he really starts pushing it. Stay tuned for your first video look at the 2010 Viper in the next few minutes.
