“On every side, the earth seems to spill into forever,” begins a great feature in the January issue of Motor Trend (on newsstands now). “Such is the latitude that created muscle rides like the Challenger — large, assertive, comfortable in epic environs that would swallow up effete machines.” Just when you think you’re having a good day, put yourself in the driving shoes of this particular MT writer, who wanders the West without much of a mission beyond exploring the full extent of the 2010 Challenger’s love affair for open asphalt — and writing home with a particularly eloquent tale of his exploits. By the time a passing sheriff compliments him with a casual “beautiful car,” it’ll take all your self-control to keep your hands at your desk or computer and off a steering wheel headed aimlessly for any horizon.

Motor Trend notes that the Challenger is the only “muscle car” on the market because the Camaro and Mustang are just “pony cars.” The writer didn’t care where he went because he just loved driving the car. The article is done in black and white for effect. It was an R/T Classic.

Even Motor Trend likes the Challenger better than the cheapo Mustang and Camaro. Truly the only “muscle car” being manufactured so lets offer it in sublime so they will print the article in color next time. The coolmancool and Indyrider T/A option may attract more customers too, even people who already have a Challenger may want another type. It would be cool as heck to see a new T/A Challenger cruizin down the road.

Yes, the vanishing point edition would be easy to do, numbered dash insert, rallye wheels, and a few other distinctive touches.

Wow, they really said that. That’s what I’ve been thinking for a long time. Too bad Dodge doesn’t want to sell two muscle cars.
Thinking from a muscle car perspective, can you imagine the current car sold as a charger being renamed coronet, and a true charger two door coming out. A cool coronet, and two muscle cars to choose from. Mustang and Camaro sales might finally lag behind you for once. Call me crazy, but I think it would work.
Hey, I can dream can’t I? I still have hope Dodge, keep working on it.

Gotta have the manual trans and the iconic “Pistol-grip” shifter.
This wouldn’t be a hard car to do. Also has to be white.

I’m the proud owner of a 2008 Limited Edition 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 in HOP. It’s #904 of 6400 and I call her CRUSH. She’s the best damn AUTOMOBILE this 54 year retired Soldier has ever owned.
Thanks Dodge for making my life long dream come true.

I saw vanishing point for the first time in my life this year. It reinforces my lifelong appreciation for muscle and mopar The missing part is sublime……
I am willing to compromise for panther pink in the T/A option.

The Challenger is a much better looking car than the Mustang and Camaro. It;s a work of art! I would love to see a shaker hood and Pistol-Grip Shifter in the future along with a few other high impact colors. Mark Mallary and the Dodge Team keep up the good work. My DY Challenger , ordered from Bob Frederick, should be arriving in a few weeks. Its been a two year wait for a Challenger and a lot of frustration but I know it wil have been worth the wait.

After months of anticipation I FINALLY got my sweet stone white R/T Challanger.
Oh my god it was so worth the wait.
I have had Mercedes Lexus BMW . Gone from vans to suv’s loaded with carpool for years
no more!
This is the coolest car I have Ever had.
This car turns heads at every corner.
My 15 year old has his permit and has driven my baby.
He asked me if he could get a used pin challanger when he gets his car so we could park them next to each other.
Actually his dad has a white porche and we want to put it in the middle even with a porche he likes to drive mine.
Thank you for designing the coolest car ever!
