Meet the Fastest Viper Yet: The 2010 Viper ACR-X

The new 2010 Viper ACR-X debuts this morning at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show in Orlando, Florida. In a nutshell: It’s a turn-key, limited-edition Viper aimed specifically at road racers that combines the best performance attributes of the Viper Competition Coupe and the record-breaking Viper ACR. (The SRT team tested it at Laguna Seca raceway for the first time last month, and professional driver Kuno Wittmer was able to run consistent 1:31.00 lap times around the 2.238-mile, 11-turn course — more than 3 seconds faster than the record-breaking Viper ACR!) The car is slated to make its track debut to kick off the new Dodge Viper Cup racing series in July 2010.
