Good luck sleeping for the next few days as you await its arrival; we’d recommend you go ahead and call in sick all of next week to prepare for your inaugural road trip. Thank God!
Dec 16, 2009 @ 11:46:59
HEMIhead: We’re glad you’re excited!
Dec 15, 2009 @ 14:01:59
We will believe it when we see it. You informed us two months ago that the yellow Challengers were being shipped. When I see one on ebay then I will know. Hopefully, you now have the technology to change colors faster and are not relying on your retired great grandmothers to pick up the paint one gallon at a time on their wheel chairs.

My dealer called and told me my RT is in Buffalo on a train, it will arrive 12 -23. Waiting to put on the new exhaust.
Dec 15, 2009 @ 18:23:56
All I want for Christmas is a Yellow SRT Classic in my garage!
Dec 16, 2009 @ 11:43:00
TopBanana: We can understand that! Thanks for posting.
Dec 15, 2009 @ 23:00:30
Glad to hear yellow is shipping . Sorry i won’t be in line to purchase one. Sublime or nothing.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 09:54:47
I think if you reviewed last weeks poll, you should always offer sublime, plum crazy, hemi orange, panther pink and B5 as standard colors for the Challenger. We are only talking about paint which is easy to purchase. We are not talking about getting a specially stamped hood that is made by a vendor. Come on, just do it.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 11:15:14
Mark Mallie posted on the other thread:
“Indyrider/CMC we appreciate your patience. From your perspective it might seem like an easy change – just add the damn paint! Things are never that easy as you know from your professional life…
We have been managing paint on Challenger adding as many colors as the plant can handle. For 2010 Model Year in addition to the 10 standard paints at the plant and any special paints for Charger Police Cars, we have built B5 Blue, Detonator Yellow, Plum Crazy is just beginning, Hemi Orange is coming back in 1st Quarter 2010, and one more new color to be announced soon. This color is not Sublime. Green is in our future, we are hoping to do something in the 2010 Calendar Year.
We promise we’ll let you know here on this blog as new Challenger content and colors come to life. If you have further questions, please click “contact us” at the bottom of the page and drop us a line directly. Thank you for your longtime support of Dodge.”

Looks great! love it! now all they need to do is sublime Green!
Dec 16, 2009 @ 13:55:30
I just returned from another local dealer that got a Yellow RT in today, WOW it looks 100 times better in person than in the photos, that thing is smoking hot.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 16:38:49
Hey Mark,
Do you have any idea why they are waiting so long for the sublime paint and if it will be offered in 2010? I may be willing to wait one more year, however, if you just aren’t going to offer it please let us know. Are you going to reward us for our patience with a sublime Challenger that will have a better interior that is offered in black? Can you give us some kind of hint?
Dec 16, 2009 @ 16:53:47
10 standard paints??? OK, how come the SE only comes in 7 colors? Add some colors and advertise and the more affordable cars should sell.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 17:26:22
called my local dodge dealer and asked about sublime green for the challenger… it will be available for the summer of 2010 !!! YAY!! I’m waiting!!!
Dec 16, 2009 @ 17:41:12
Hey amber, does your dealer know this for a fact or is he making this up like my dealer does when he doesn’t know anything? I find it troubling that he knows this before Mark Mallie who works at Dodge. My, my, my…more issues with the Dodge Boys.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 18:40:39
I stand corrected, the yellow Challengers are being shipped: http://s948.photobucket.com/albums/ad329/GOTAH3MI/Brampton%20Dodge%20Plant/
Good job, Dodge! Many customers will have a Merry Christmas!
Dec 16, 2009 @ 18:47:04
By the way, it is interesting to see that the Classic R/T side stripes can be done in the plant, however, the hood and trunk SRT and SE Rallye stripes have to be applied at another location. Too many middle men slows down the process. We need to do some value stream mapping at Brampton, don’t we?
Dec 16, 2009 @ 22:46:04
I’m running out of comments. I’m shredding the xmas list as we speak. Santa won’t be stopping by the house ths year.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 23:17:01
indyrider, I am getting to the point where I will never buy a Dodge again. These guys ask us for feedback and they do the opposite of what the poles and customers ask for. We will just have to wait until the cars start piling up at the dealers and then they will have no choice but to offer colors customer really want. There should be $5000 rebates by then. Heck, the economy will probably tank and we won’t be able to purchase the cars anyhow. The 383 ‘cuda down the street is looking better and better. I will give them one more week to inform us about the color line up, then its a no sale and I will be the first of three generations that will have to buy a Ford or Chevy and will probably have enough money left over to buy the ‘cuda down the street as well.
Dec 16, 2009 @ 23:24:12
CMC I am with ya man.
The orange SRT8 with sunroof has been sitting at the local dealer for months, along with a B5 Blue, and Torred. That is a pretty good sign to me, regarding how many buyers want these cars. I know I could swing a good deal on one of the lot models, but its not what I want to buy.
I’m giving Dodge until the end of 2009, though based on the recent posts, I believe we have our answer. A lot can happen in another year, I’m not sure I want to wait this one out, while I’m in the position to buy something soon.
I’m trolling the classifieds as well, leaving the door open to all autos, at this point. I’ve found some green cudas, and challengers as well, so I guess I need to start making some calls.

Indyrider/CMC:
I encourage you to leave your contact info – “contact us” at the bottom or catch me in CA Friday night. Check out Engineblockparty.com for details.
Dec 17, 2009 @ 12:03:38
yellow rt, thanks for letting us know! It’s pretty amazing in person, isn’t it?
Dec 17, 2009 @ 12:36:26
None of the videos or links work in the Engineblockparty.com, however, I have grown accustomed to this. Nothing seems to be working right at Dodge. We run a poll and then we bring back a color (Hemi Orange) that we already offered that didn’t receive most of the votes. People are looking for new and exciting things, so try new things. All we are asking is for you to paint a car the color everyone wants! Tell your Italian buddy to make a decision already.

RLD,
We apologize for our past posts and you are free to erase them because they were out of line. We just get upset because it seems like no one at Dodge is listening. All of us have been loyal mopar fans for generations and we hate to see what is happening with the company. Hopefully, you will get the support from the FIAT group to turn things around and be profitable. Again, sorry about the posts and we will not comment anymore.

ATTN: Mark Mallie,
I thought I was leaving my final post on another topic, when I saw your response to my comments here. OK, I’ll roll the dice and send the information in hopes you will contact me.
I’m having issues accessing the block party site, so I have no idea where you will be in CA. I’m in the state, but doubt you are going to be where I’m at. Who knows, stranger things have happened.
