Wow! I think the advertisement with the guy's monotone voice...is SO AWESOME. We tivo'd it and played it a few times. For those of you who didn't follow the Dexter series, you're just missing the impact of this commercial! We heard the voice and everything in the room stopped! We were sucked to the TV...just for the voice. Dexter was a kick ass series and I can't wait for it to come back after Michael Hall's battle with cancer. This character is so strong and passionate under a cover of easy going, unasssuming. The series is exciting and keep us wating all week. Maybe Chrysler is trying to pick up on some of the series' intensity and allure! =)

I will second what trqlvr said. Two quick shots of boring faces would have been enough. Lets see the car in action. People want to see the car not some ugly boring faces. You should really be advertising the Challenger because it is the only car that you make that looks good. Once you get people in the showroom then they will buy what they really need or what they really can afford. Dodge is supposed to be the performance division of Chrysler so lets see it on TV! In fact, lets see some commercials. I did not see any Dodge commercials the entire weekend I watched TV. How can you sell cars if you don't advertise? We want Challenger commercials...it is time for them since they are starting to pile up at the dealers anyway.

I agree with most of the posters here in saying that the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep ads of late are NOT inspiring! I don't care for the monotone voice-overs of Dexter (or whoever you guys say this is)! The only good ad I've seen in the last few months is the one that shows a business man getting into an Airflow, then progressing through time in a '50s Dodge pickup, a wing car, a '68-'69 Charger, etc and finally pulling into the driveway in a Chrysler 300! That was a pretty cool ad but I only saw it on TV one time! You're ads, for the most part, are boring. I saw the Super Bowl ad and by the time they showed anything more than bored, sleepy-looking men, I had gotten up and gone to the kitchen! Your ad agency needs to remember that people don't watch TV to see the commercials. If your TV ad doesn't catch their attention right away with something exciting, they're probably on their way to the kitchen or bathroom until their program comes back on!

The Charger isn't a man's car until they offer it with a manual transmission. I don't understand why they won't offer the sedan with an MT when you can get an MT in a Challenger. There are people out there who need 4 doors who still prefer to row their own. C'mon Dodge! The demise of the Pontiac G8 GXP 6MT left a void in the market. I challenge you to fill it.

You know I was glad to actually see a Dodge commercial during the Super Bowl. They're not perfect but at least they got noticed. I'm beginning to like the new balck flag with the red stripes. I still think Dodge needs to film a new commerical with our comments in mind. After all, we are the guys and gals that buy their products.

IF any guy lives like the one on that commercial, than he probable needs the Charger to drive
himself off a clift. The ending is cool, the beginning? "So you got a Charger because your wife drives you nuts and your too much of an introvert to stand up for yourself!" Please don't de-value the Charger any more. It could be Dodge's last stand.

I was browsing the net for news, ie my google searches for charger info aka ""dodge charger" -sedan" and so forth, and hit the articel on jalopnik about the superbowl ad. Sorry I have to past some of the responses here for your, and well ok, my own, amusement.

"RäcinG73™Sun, 07 Feb 2010 21:18:15 I liked what they did... and then when I realized it was the Charger I thought, "That's nowhere near as cool as the Challenger." And as we all know the Challenger could still use some work. Guess they're still trying to market the man's compromise-mobile - the Charger with 4 doors. Despite the message of the commercial."

"brustSun, 07 Feb 2010 22:30:59 Wouldn't it be great if it was actually a desirable car (Challenger)? And wouldn't it be greater if companies (society?) would stop assuming that all men are pussies in the face of any woman? Wouldn't it be great if Keystone light was still doing commercials (Swedish Bikini Team)?"

"w1llkMon, 08 Feb 2010 01:25:19 Okay, I was one of several people in a room who thought this commercial was cool on a level way beyond a Dodge Charger. When it revealed its true nature, we wondered, "Why not Camaro?, Why not RS4?, Why not something that doesn't suck?""

It's nice to know I am not the only one who feels this way.

Hey moparman, I will be honest with you, I thought Dodge was going to air one of these still shots of the Charger so the commercial was better than I thought. I must echo your thoughts by saying that there needs to be a commercial depicted the Challenger in all of the high impact colors to grab the public's attention. You have to generate some excitement and the superbowl commercial was a somewhat good start, however, you must pick up the pace and get some new vehicles on the market. They should of had the same commercial in the second half with a plum crazy and a detonator yellow Challenger racing down the highway at 100 plus miles an hour or doing burn outs in the office parking lot. I believe the Challenger is the best kept secret in America.

Well, once again, dodge has denied us. The superbowl commercial was yet another of these commercials for the current sedan, and not a commercial for the redesign.

So, dodge, you ever gonna show us what it really looks like?

If anything, that commecial today should have been for the challenger. The challenger would have been more appropriate for that commercial, like, "I did all this stuff, so I'm gonna drive the car I want, a challenger!"
