Dodge’s Generosity: Mo’ Money Mo’ Mopar |
Posted on March 18, 2010
From now through April 30th, whenever you purchase a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T, R/T Classic or SRT8®, Dodge will be giving you $2,000 in cold hard Mopar dollars to sink into your cherry ride. Applicable to a host of genuine Mopar accessories – including both the exterior and interior appearance packages – the Mopar Money is Dodge’s way of feeding your performance addiction.
“One of the joys of owning the iconic Dodge Challenger muscle car is the ability to take an already head-turning design and create a highly customized and personalized ride, thanks to Mopar’s exclusive collection of quality-tested performance parts and accessories,” said Ralph Gilles, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dodge Car Brand and Senior Vice President – Product Design, Chrysler Group LLC. “Dodge Car Brand designers and engineers worked closely with the legendary in-house Mopar performance brand to further enhance the appearance of Dodge’s modern-day muscle machine, while effectively communicating the vehicle’s world-class handling, performance and cutting-edge technology.”

Hey Ralph how about us up here in Canada I know a few people who would love to be able to add a few nice parts to there cars if they arrive in time. I can’t say that I will be able to take advantage of this offer(If it was offered) as my car is yet to be built (Ordered Dec 15/09) but I think it is a great offer I know it would of been a nice treat after having my 2009 Hemi Orange Classic cancelled last year but at least you brought back HO the over 4 year wait to get my Challenger lived another day thanks to that decision I just hope the wait is over soon lol.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 06:13:41
It should be offered in Canada too. We have no ‘Track Days’, no Mopar Dollars, and almost no Challengers. Please change this.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 08:32:24
RLD, Dodge has hit a new low. They make the Challengers in Canada and then they barely allow them to sell any or give them breaks on the Mopar Dollars. Canada should be the test country for all these gimmicks since they purchase more Dodge/Chryser vehicles per capita then anywhere else. This country should be rewarded for its loyalty towards Mopar products not punished.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 09:01:07
Why not just make it 2000 less! Love it the way it is…
Mar 19, 2010 @ 09:24:30
That will be the May/June special. They still want to keep the money.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 09:41:57
RLD, Tell the Dodge Boys thanks for the great program, I really enjoyed shopping for the $2000.00 worth of accessories. I was like a kid with the Sears christmas catalog (remember those days ?). I got some really cool stuff that I probably wouldnt have, at least not for a long time. I thought my plum crazy classic looked great before, now it really pops ! . The Challenger arrived Saturday, and I still cant believe its here……a 30 year dream come true, even more awesome than I imagined….Thanks again Dodge !!!!!
Mar 19, 2010 @ 09:50:58
Right on! Sublime!
I am sick of going to dealerships and getting the response, “We don’t have that deal here in Canada.” To make matters worse, they can’t even offer a substitute deal or match it in some other way. Also, let us LOYAL Canadians in on the contests on this site and on your brand sites. It’s dissapointing to read, U.S. only. What up with that? (no disrespect to Americans, I love the U.S.A.)
The dealerships in my area haven’t a clue about Mopar Performance Parts. Make them more aware of this division. When I break out the Mopar Catalogue, they look at it like its from Mars, and then say ,”That’s U.S. Only!” I’ve saved alot of money by going to these dealerships because I always leave with nothing. C’mon DODGE, give me a break.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 12:46:58
Thanks Dodge! What a great way to market Mopar parts. This should be a big hit!
Mar 19, 2010 @ 13:26:38
i dont understand the gimme gimme gimme attitude. shouldnt you be happy with the fact that youre able to even purchase a challenger? willing to bet that per capita more canadians can afford a challenger than americans. and as for canada being the “test ground” for all these programs because theyre built there. how about you send us some cars that werent damaged or flawed from the factory.
Mar 19, 2010 @ 15:48:34
DODGEDEALER, what was that comment all about. We should be lucky we can purchase a car? No, Dodge should be lucky that we would even consider purchasing a car from them. Isn’t their mission to sell cars so they can make a profit and not go bankrupt again? The deal is that any company wants to sell their products and this is a global society so you need to consider the rest of the world if you want to be taken seriously. Canadians are people too, and they buy a lot of mopars. Why should anyone be treated differently? I am an American but I understand their concern and their concern is possible sales, which is money in the bank for Dodge. Everyone is supposed to be treated equally, isn’t that the American way. Didn’t we premise our whole Constitution on that?
Mar 19, 2010 @ 21:35:48
Here you go RLD. DODGEDEALER is exactly the type of dealership I am talking about.
Do you expect customers to deal with the likes of that? This is what’s causing sales problems.
Track that down, and get rid of it. This is the type of dealership you should have cut after bankruptcy! Thanks DODGEDEALER for rearing your ugly head, you just proved my point.
Total incompetence!
Mar 19, 2010 @ 22:21:47
I have to agree with SUBLIME, HEMIhead, and DARRENSTOYS. What is it with this “only in the US” tunnel vision (both from Chrysler USA and Chrysler Canada)? Wasn’t Free Trade/NAFTA supposed to bring down the barriers to trade and commerce between our countries? I, too, love america. My best friend is from Oregon. Canada and America can do better together than we can separately alone.
Mar 20, 2010 @ 10:02:32
I applaud RLD and Dodge for the Mopar offering, but once again, I cannot buy what is not offered. Waiting for my chance at the FF SRT8, or news on green.
And yes I too agree that everyone, regardless of location should get the same offers and treatment.
Mark Mallie, Ralph Gilles, Dodge, anyone listening? Help a brother out! I cannot wait forever to buy a car! Right now we have great financing, mopar offering, just no car to buy….
Mar 20, 2010 @ 10:21:39
Yes, I have to echo IndyRider in that you would sell one more car (probably thousands) if you would listen to the customer. I am not happy with the color availability for the Challenger so I am really leaning towards restoring an old ‘cuda. If you don’t want my money someone else will take it.
Mar 20, 2010 @ 22:50:06
Sublime I hear ya. Currently, its almost a perfect storm; financing, mopar, if we could get green or ff going everything would fall into place. Sales would quickly come in, I truly believe it.
I’m trying to stay positive, but I’m starting to formulate plan B. I will buy a car this year, but it might not be from Dodge.
No offense to RLD or Dodge but I cannot wait, based on vague information and unclear order windows for models and colors. The two grand mopar offer is great, but I cannot apply it to a car I cannot order.
Mar 21, 2010 @ 00:12:49
Congrats, Dodge…1st and 2nd at the Nationwide race in Bristol. Justin Allgairer finally gets a win and Brad Keselowski comes in second. Great job! Dodge will always win if everyone else will play fair. The Penske team needs to start racking up the wins this year. Nobody who follows NASCAR can stomach another Hendrick win. Not even the die hard Chevy fans.
Mar 21, 2010 @ 00:31:00
By the way IndyRider, I think the picture they have scrolling on the right DSC01077 with the demoralized guy in the shorts in front of a sublime Challenger is a subliminal message that the only way we will ever own a sublime Challenger is to restore one. I think it is sad that Dodge really doesn’t want to sell cars. Mr. Gilles and company must have come to work for Dodge just for the money and don’t have a history of growing up with mopars. That is the only possible excuse for depriving the mopar community of the cars they want. They are out racing Vipers in Texas when the total sales from that venture may add up to 50 if they are lucky. Their priorities are all screwed up and it is very sad that these people are put in such high leadership positions. No one knows when they are going to release a color, no one knows what they are going to offer next year. They can’t even offer a downloadable car brochure for their 2010 Challengers, Chargers, or anything else that isn’t a truck. However, hemi orange cars are already arriving at the dealerships again and that statement was officially made just a month ago. What the h@ll is going on here?
Mar 21, 2010 @ 07:07:20
Congratulations DODGE on a 1-2 win in the Nationwide Series!
Great win for Allgaier, and a Great finish for Keselowski!
This is the way we want the season to be, DODGE in victory lane!
Mar 21, 2010 @ 17:18:01
Well, well, well, JJ wins another race with a Chevy. Thank God I didn’t watch the race and waste my time. NASCAR has done me a favor this season by keeping the same rules in place so Chevy will always have the advantage. Therefore, I have five extra hours on Sunday to get caught up and relax. Every once and a while, NASCAR will let another manufacturer win (could be the odds) but at the end of the season it is always the same old story. Maybe the Penske boys can change things this season, but I feel the odds are stacked against them. At any rate, good luck Kurt and don’t give up! Maybe lady luck is on your side this season and you can stop this awful travesty of unethical NASCAR corruptness. And maybe the Dodge boys can paint their Challengers green before Hades freezes over?
Mar 21, 2010 @ 19:49:56
Kurt Busch had that race won, only for that stupid caution called by Nascircus, due to a piece of brake vent hose on the track. Must have been “The Champ’s” turn to win again.
What a farce! JJ has a Mediocre race all day, then all of a sudden Nascircus gets him out front again. JJ is going to be the death of Nascircus. People are just sick of the old song and dance from them.
Overall, Kurt and Brad were real racers at Bristol, and any one of their fans would have been happy to see the action they played on the track. Penske is turning it on this year.
Giv’er DODGE!
Mar 22, 2010 @ 20:28:05
I’m still betting more than 400 people would buy a FF SRT8.
And 1000 would buy it in green,
1500 would buy it if offered in 2010.
Just my two cents…
Mar 25, 2010 @ 13:58:05
Got a Plum Crazy Challeger on the way…Can I use my Mopar Bucks to Get a Crate Engine for my 1987 Doge Dakota 4wd Indy 500 edition Truck ?
Mar 25, 2010 @ 18:47:28
RLD, I gotta ask….why is it that you have “go wings” listed in the mopar bucks program, a program for R/T and SRT that wont fit unless you replace the decklid or fill holes in the existing decklid. On top of that, try to even get a decklid as they are not available. Also , the package for the T/A hood and go-wing is not even available on these cars from the factory except for the SE ? Finally… I gotta ask….a friend of mine (a 35+year Mopar parts manager in Milwaukee) orders his plum crazy R/T in October, it has been in D1 status since December (dealer has allocation) and today it moved back into D status, meanwhile one of his friends orders a black R/T in late January, and takes delivery last week…What in HADES is going on ??????
Mar 29, 2010 @ 20:02:42
Flames T:
The Go Wing Spoiler and T/A style hood is available on the R/T from the factory as part of the Mopar Exterior Appearance Group. The Go Wing Spoiler is not available on SRT due to the Speed Rating of the SRT8.
We also offer a rear spoiler delete on R/T if you want to add the Go Wing spoiler only.
Send us a VIN on the PLUM Car.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 08:27:59
Mark Mallie,
Thank you in advance for your attention to this….my friends VIN is AH173332. He ordered it with the spoiler delete, but says he would be happy to get (and pay for) the Mopar Exterior Appearance group option, as it was not available at the time he ordered it. He was very impressed that you responded to the question when I called him this AM…lifted the spirits immensely ! . I just took delivery of my Plum Crazy Classic Friday, took a trip to Chi-town over the weekend and had many cellphone photos taken from the road….they were proud moments!!!! Everyone that saw the car was very impressed, I talked you up bigtime……Keep up the good work, we got you covered out here…Look forward to showing off the purple pair as soon as my friends gets built – Flames T.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 11:33:44
Flames T:
Glad you like your Challenger!
This vehicle you asked about will get built in mid April – have no fears.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 16:15:43
Does anyone have any idea if the orange classics are being built yet. I ordered one on Feb. 4 and was told 6-8 weeks.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 19:12:43
They haven’t finished making the purple ones. You have to remember that they have to coordinate the leather seats with the orange stitching and it is difficult for all of their suppliers to come thru for them. If you receive your car in April you will be lucky.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 19:48:15
Chris:
Hemi Orange is in production again and we have built nearly 200.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 20:54:24
Hey Mark, Have you built 200 R/T Classics or just 200 regular R/Ts? What is the status of Furious Fuchsia? Thanks!
Mar 30, 2010 @ 21:44:44
No worries Chris I ordered my Hemi Orange Classic on Dec 15/09 and it was built on Friday it was just released by the plant today so they are on the way I do know a few 2010 HO cars have already been delivered.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 21:47:01
I am glad to hear they are getting the ordered cars out in a timely basis. Thanks for listening, Dodge.
Mar 30, 2010 @ 21:53:45
Good too hear-I was starting to worry after reading about people waiting months for delivery
Mar 30, 2010 @ 23:12:17
Chris, you will love the car. I have been the biggest complainer about the car on this blog and once I got behind the wheel and drove it, all my complaints were behind me. Remember, if you receive your car before April 30th your dealer has to give you the $2,000 worth of Mopar Accessories if you read the fine print. I hope you get it soon. Maybe Mark Maille can set you up and get you processed quickly. The bright HEMI orange is an eye popping color. The retro stripes make the car look like it came right from 1970, yet it has all the creature comforts of today.
Mar 31, 2010 @ 11:34:00
I am in Canada. I dont think we get that deal.
Mar 31, 2010 @ 11:39:11
Chris, you are to tell me that you guys assemble the Challenger in Canada, and you don’t get some kind of discount? They should go on stike at the Brampton plant. All promotions should be across the board and effective in every country. Canada is so similar to the US that I don’t see what the problem is. You should at least not have to pay for the destination charge if you live in Ontario.
Mar 31, 2010 @ 11:46:38
Ya I know I live 2-3 hours away from the factory and get charged $1400 delivery charge.
Mar 31, 2010 @ 12:03:49
Chris, here is the charge in the US: DESTINATION CHARGE $ 725. I also know that two Canadian dollars do not equate to one American dollar. Dodge’s exchange rate is a little off, wouldn’t you say?
Mar 31, 2010 @ 16:20:34
I would say so!
Apr 11, 2010 @ 20:24:22
if you buy a challernger why cant you buy the beast drag hood
Apr 15, 2010 @ 13:49:10
i am hoping there will be a bump to the V6 engine to bring it up to par with the new Camaro and Mustang! i definitely like the Challenger’s aesthetic much better!
Apr 20, 2010 @ 10:08:59
well it still sucks missing out on 2000 mopar bucks just because i bought a 2010 challenger r/t jan 30th. ,could have used some of this fine mopar stuff. i guess you snooze you loose but in my case i jumped and redlighted. what a bitch…
Apr 20, 2010 @ 13:35:22
James ward, I feel your pain, they are now giving an additional $3,000 off on the R/Ts and $4,500 off on the SRT8s the week after I bought mine.
Apr 20, 2010 @ 18:39:49
Hey Sublime, thats not right if you buy something at Target or Walmart and within 30 days it goes on sale they give you the sale price. Maybe you could at least work out something with your dealer and he hooks you up with at least $2500.00 back or some parts you want. Just a thought, I know I would have been down there the day I found out about the $4500.00 off a week after buying/spending the kind of money it takes to buy a car now a days. Thanks on the Bullitt Charger info. Tracy
Apr 20, 2010 @ 19:35:20
Tracy, I will never purchase a car from them and I tell all my friends not to as well. These policies have turned many people away from Dodge. It is my own fault, I got the new car itch and paid the price. If the Challenger wasn’t so much fun to drive then I would really get mad about it. However, everyday someone compliments me on the car and tells me how they wished they had one. It is so much more fun to drive than my old truck. What Dodge needs to do is change the grille and taillights every other year so they can keep the prices up. They need to make some visible change in them so people will continue to pay full sticker price for something that looks new. Then we won’t have to worry about this because the Challenger will always be in demand and there won’t be any rebates to worry about. Not good for us, but good for Dodge. Although, if they made a version in every color in everyone’s price range then we wouldn’t have to haggle over the price. People don’t mind paying full price if they can get exactly what they want, right now. When people start second guessing because they can’t get an SE model in Furious Fuchsia for instance, they leave, go somewhere else and buy a Camaro or Mustang because they see that they are cheaper. I really think their marketing people need to go. Dodge has a good product, they just don’t market it well.
Apr 20, 2010 @ 22:41:03
Sublime, glad you like your car and other people do too. I wouldn’t change things on a year to year time frame but maybe every three years would be good. Yes the colors should be made for all levals of the Challenger, if you go to Ford or Chevy their not going to say oh sorry that V6 Mustang only comes in Red, White and Blue, but the GT is all colors. On pricing I was at the dealer looking at Camaros while the wife was shopping for bras and purses today and a SS with the 2LT was $33,000.00 + same gas mileage as an R/T but at a lower cost. I’m real sure a buyer could get it in any color they wanted too. Yes the marketing people must be replaced and soon, bring in car guys to think up marketing, we know what we want in a car. Just because you went to collage doesn’t mean you know what people/buyers want.
Apr 21, 2010 @ 17:22:20
please offer this in Canada, I dont know why you wouldnt.
Apr 21, 2010 @ 18:04:23
Justin, I cannot believe that Dodge does not offer the Mopar parts deal in Canada. Once the cars start sitting on the lots for a while they will. I think they will eventually, so just hang in there. I still have a couple of parts back ordered from almost a month ago. They offered this promotion, however, they didn’t make additional parts to stockpile for it. I will tell you, if you have an automatic, the Mopar shifter is the best thing because it is so easy to slap it into drive and reverse and you can rest your hand on it while you change the radio channel or other controls on the dash. It is much better than the old T handle slap stick automatic shifters that were on the 71-74 Chargers and Road Runners. The chrome door sills look sharp and the reverse backup sensors work really well because they change the rate in which they beep and the light color changes depending on how close you get to something. It is really a nice setup. The washable Mopar blue air cleaner cold air intake makes the car sound really good and gives you about 8 extra horsepower. The Mopar parts are a little more expensive but they fit right and look good. I am tired of trying to make aftermarket parts fit correctly so I try to only buy Mopar parts. Hopefully, the Mopar parts deal can come to Canada since you guys assemble the cars for God sakes. It only seems fair.
May 01, 2010 @ 12:58:56
I WANT A CONVERTIBLE CHALLENGER! WHEN IS DODGE GOING TO BUILD ONE?
May 06, 2010 @ 14:11:53
Does anyone know thecost to get the racing stripes if you already own a Challenger. ..unfortunately I own the basic model.. I cant afford 30-50k Challenger
