You’ve been anxiously awaiting this announcement for months and now we can finally confirm: the Furious Fuchsia Challengers are available for order. As you may remember from our original announcement, in addition to the furious fuchsia paint scheme, the unique Challengers also come with complimenting interior accents such as Pearl White and unique dash-mounted plated noting the vehicle’s exclusivity (SRT8 models only).
This will be a limited production run, so please contact your local dealership for more information.

I have been looking at some model cars and I think Dodge needs to make a new model of the Demon. It’s a really nice car and people would realty like it. But of course it would be expensive, but I mean look at the Challenger, Charger, and Viper. They are all really expensive but nice cars and a lot of people have bought them. Just consider please. Thank you.

People might like this color better if you called it Plum Crazy like a ’70′s Challenger

Will, this is supposed to be a toned down, metallic version of Panther Pink. They have already released Plum Crazy Purple and I purchase one in March. The purple is sharp. This is more of a lipstick pink that girls will probably like. It is different and if Dodge wants to get noticed then they have to offer their cars in different colors so they stand out. Everyone has their own personal taste and it probably looks better in person like my Challenger does. Maybe they will release sublime green or Petty (corporation blue) one of these days.

I have an ’09 R/T. I got it online for “cheep” due it not being loaded and being high miles for it’s age (49k). I was very intent on it being Hemi orange; I HATE to blend in. I am female, so at one point, I’d have been offended by a pink car (or fuchia; the difference being many dollars per quart)–it seemed patronizing. Harley used that idea to make a pink bike to hide numerous ongoing shortcomings of the bike; that definitely came off as condecending to me. Yes, I do have an HD. It’s like dating someone you know is toxic for you. I’ve had the 72 sporty since 1992.
At any rate, the Hemi orange looks almost red in pics. So I could see the color being diferent.
The car doesn’t have to be expensive. Loaded and new was 38k, LEAVING the parking lot at the dealer. Otherwise, you get conned into thinking you got a deal, when you’re not done paying. Mine was 26,900 and in very pristine condition. There is one tiny rock chip on the hood, and a burn from an apparent cigarette on the inside passenger door. Nothing not easily fixed. In Chicago, this leaves us at about 28,000. Save yer pennies, and throw down 20k for a down, and that makes the payments just over 250 a month over three years.
I haven’t seen this pinky purple (which is NOTHING like the 1970′s plum crazy) with my own eyes yet. I’d buy it so no man I know would want to drive it. And then, more Hemi fer me!!!
Unfortunately, it stuns me how oblivious people are. I get looks from guys driving late-model Maseratis, but 90 percent of people ignore a 4100 pound, bright orange Hemi somehow.
Plus sides of this car: it’s damn cool. It’s easy to find in parking lots (no, I’m not kidding), and it LOVES moving very fast, especially from a dead stop. It’s hard not to go 90 ALL THE TIME, and I don’t normally act stupid driving. Catching up to the car your friend is driving two miles away is like nothing. It’s very large in the cabin and MUCH more comfortable than either the Mustang or the Camaro. It drives with a squishier suspension than the Mustang. I like this, as I consider it a downside sports/muscle cars are so hard-driving. It’s great for a larger/taller person. Backseat is useless, unless your friends are dwarves. Don’t have it with three kids.
Downsides: the sightlines are HORRIBLE for me, a 5’7 woman, mostly legs. I’ve lost entire cars in the blindspot at the back quarter panels. Parking in a garage is not that fun. Re-painting anything on the car is not cheap. Funny color with depth. Hate and despise that stupid plastic cover on the Hemi. The exhaust is sadly quiet at idle, but that’s going to be fixed the day I pay it off. Hoping for more a Maserati sort of note. I know it only fires four cyclanders until you need more, but I ALWAYS need more. My way around the blind spots is to perpetually pass everyone, all the time. Then you know where they’re at. “Objects in mirror appear to be losing.” I end up looking behind me a lot more than I do on the 97 Accord.
Steering and brakes are both harder. Don’t expect to stop as fast as a 2700 pound Accord driving a 4100 pound car. Steering is more effort.
Overall, I LOOOOVVVE this car. It’s nothing but a joy to drive, and I don’t even mind being stuck in traffic with it. Stereo is oddly sibilant (s-sound is unusually prominant), but the bass (unusual for most stock cars) is clean, but not annoyingly separate, as you hear all the time with subwoofers. It’s been a LOONNNG time since I could burn out on an automatic. This one also gives you the option of shifting yourself.

The FF offering looks good in the pics. I’m glad I pulled the trigger and got a PC SRT8, as its made the summer that much more fun! If I had the $$$, I would get the FF model, due to the cool 70s white leather, black wheels deal. Ah, if they only offered an 8 track….
Yezz, its big, heavy, and strong on the powerband. Still the best looking retro muscle car out there (in my opinion).
