2011 Dodge Durango Makes a Splash in Virginia Beach |

The 2011 Dodge Durango all but completely stole the show this weekend at the Dodge Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach, and we really couldn’t be happier. No one seemed able to resist the infectious buzz of excitement that swarmed the display, and we couldn’t stop beaming like proud parents. Hit up the gallery above to check out a few of the pictures we snapped of the Durango rockin’ it inside the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Tazallen, the Jeep Grand Cheroke has the side body lines of the new Ford Explorer (or should I say Ford copied Jeep) and the Durango has the side body lines of the GMC Acadia (however, the Durango has a racier look to it). I suppose they appeal to different people. You either love a Jeep front grille or you don’t. I prefer the Durango. Have you seen the You Tube video clip of the new 2011 Charger? I think it looks better. I believe it has a duck tail spoiler on the back like a Challenger or they curved the sheet metal up. At any rate, it is growing on me and it changes the car from looking so big and boxy. I still cannot make out the back roofline. Hopefully, they don’t have a third small side window on the R/T and SRT models.

why doesn’t chrysler sell any srt awd cars? i don’t get it. if they truly want to step up into the luxury market, it would be essential. audi leads the way with the quattro awd, mercedes newer improved 4-matic is all you see on the east coast north of south carolina, and bmw is putting their x-drive even in the 7 series now. Mark my words, if chrysler doesn’t wake up on this, they will get their collective heads handed to them.
